Dziś, po pierwsze, lista premier płytowych miesiąca, o której zapomniałem tydzień temu (zdarzyło mi się to chyba pierwszy raz od trzech lat), a przez ten tydzień tylko urosła. Może komuś się jeszcze przyda, a artystom i wydawcom, którzy ogłaszali swoje wydawnictwa może jeszcze się przyda w kontakcie ze słuchaczami. Po drugie, Music For 18 Musicians, czyli podstawowe dzieło kultury minimalizmu – i kultury w ogóle – w kolejnym wykonaniu. Erik Hall nagrał mianowicie ten utwór solo. Ale nie w stylu Huberta Zemlera, który potrafi grać na żywo – solo – partie napisane dla kilku perkusistów (albo Leszka Możdżera wykonującego w pojedynkę Piano Phase Reicha). Hall, członek mało u nas znanej, a bardzo ciekawej formacji Nomo, po prostu nagrywał utwór Reicha w domowych warunkach: jedna sekcja dziennie, każda partia instrumentalna po kolei. Nie jest to wstrząsające wykonanie, wydaje się brzmieniowo wygładzone i bardzo popowe w sposobie akcentowania fraz, ale to na pewno dobra forma muzycznej medytacji (ja medytuję, prowadząc te listy premier w arkuszach Excela), no i można by z tego zrobić jakiś rodzaj wyzwania dla ludzi, którzy się nudzą, jakieś – dajmy na to –  #Hot18Challenge.
